moved by the threats against Obama's family
during the election, and did this piece to

" SOUL DANCING " - Kim Treloar, Akimbo Studios
SOUL DANCING is Kim’s first solo gallery show, which recently concluded at the Umpqua Valley Arts Center in
Roseburg. Having reviewed the Roseburg show, Gateway Gallery owner Lauren Wingert enjoyed the work and
insisted Kim bring the exhibit to her gallery in Philomath. “Kim’s exhibit is extremely creative, unique, and
something everyone who likes ‘glass’ will enjoy and appreciate seeing,” says Wingert. Gateway Gallery has set
aside a significant portion of the Gallery’s wall and floor space for the show. It runs March 5 to April 15th
Kim Treloar combines fusing and hot glass manipulation in her work. She produces strong contemporary pieces.
Kim teaches glass on a national level at the Las Vegas Glass Craft Expo and in her own studio. She is a very busy
lady these days as she recently moved to Maui and is currently in the process of establishing a Bullseye Glass Kiln
Formed Resource Center in conjunction with her studio, Akimbo Studios.
Colorful, uniquely inspired wall glass is the heart of the SOUL DANCING exhibit by
Kim Treloar of Eugene OR. Her pieces include complex ‘weave’ wall hangings,
mixed media metal and glass pieces, pictorial glass, and vibrant abstract
compositions.
Kim’s wall glass is a unique “must see” exhibit. Kim uses color and texture and
manipulates glass to create unusual and fascinating wall pieces. Her kiln
formed works include colorful large platters, bowls, and light fixtures, but her wall
hangings totally steal the show.
